The School
Taste Le Marche is an exciting venture in gastronomic tourism, offering hands-on all inclusive gastronomic breaks in the unspoilt region of Le Marche in central Italy. After participating in the local ‘Pista’ (turning a pig into prosciutto, sausage, salame, ciauscolo, lonza, bracciole, pancetta, coppa, and all the other gorgeous things you can turn a pig into), husband and wife team Karen & Douglas, together with local chef Gian Paulo, were persuaded to offer this fantastic experience to fellow foodies, and Taste Le Marche was born. They now offer a mouth watering range of food, wine and cooking experiences, all drawn from local traditions, and all in partnership with local chefs and producers. Best of all, all experiences are tailor made, so you choose exactly what you want to do. How about hunting for truffles in the morning, making fresh truffle pasta in the afternoon and enjoying the fruits of your labour over a wine tasting in the evening?

The Classes

We offer a tailor-made program of wine, food and cooking experiences. Cooking classes, wine tastings, vineyard tours, grape picking, wine production, olive oil tastings, olive picking & pressing, making hams, salami & sausages, cheese making, truffle hunting, mushroom foraging, preserving. Our hands on experiences are with local artisans, and our English speaking sommelier will accompany you on your culinary journey to enable you to fully experience the wine and food traditions of this fascinating region.
