
The School
We, at Dante Alighieri school, have a gastronomy department which allow students to discover the Cuisine world with hand made sessions and elaborate traditional tuscan and mediterranean recipes.
The cooking school is based in the heart of the picturesque city of Siena, just few steps from the main sightseeing and attractions to be visited.
It consists of a large newly furnished and fully equipped kitchen, a lovely terrace with an amazing view and a fresco painted dining room where students can join their lunch or dinner.
Each session is held by professional Chefs, who actively introduce the student in exploring new flavor and let them appreciate how to cook.

Classes can be run and taken for a single (only one) or weekly (4 sessions) or monthly (16 sessions). They are shared into amateur or professional and are held accordingly to a fixed calendar.
Hands-on classes allow students to cook the meal themselves. Typically, a hands-on class consists of three parts: a brief lecture, cooking under the guidance of the chef, and, of course, eating. Usually, students work in small groups on one or more recipes in parallel with the other groups The session ends with the lunch at which students eat what they have prepared all together.
Recipes in English or Italian are given to each student. All classes are entertaining and fun while providing practical techniques, ideas and information that you can use at home. Then there are evening culinary sessions (usually arranged twice week from 6.15 p.m to around 10.00 p.m.) or a 'la carte course, suited for such students who prefer to be followed alone without sharing the lessons with other people and which are tailored for the real needs of the student.
We take special care of our Internship program, which actively introduce student to world of work in a restaurant after having improved their Italian and Cuisine knowledge. They in fact may spend a period of Internship (its length can change from 12 to 24 weeks) during which time the student join a 6-8 hours of non paid work but the accommodation fee will be in charge of the owner of the restaurant.
WHO ARE THE STUDENTS
Participants of our cooking class are travelers, people who go around just for 1 day, amateurs. They are of all ages and nationality.
